Hello, everyone!
I'm Taylor and I'm a UX Designer with a passion for using technology to make life more simple and efficient.
Like many in the UX field, my road to design was long and scenic. Little did I know, all of those experiences were giving me skills that every designer should have.
While spending 5 years working in restaurant management, I saw the impact that quality software can have on meeting business goals and exceeding customer expectations. I learned that the best solutions are developed when customers are included in the problem solving process.
As I continued to work in hospitality, I completed my B.S. in Digital Audiences, where I gained experience in graphic design, content strategy, market research, and digital communications. I learned that I could use digital tools to create customer experiences that were just as warm and inviting as the ones I offered in my restaurants.
When I began to study UX Design, it felt like all of the pieces fell into place. Not only could I help make others' lives easier, but I could delight them in the process. I could take take frustration and turn it into relief. I could take apprehension and turn it into excitement.
Now, with any project that I work on, I'm not just a designer. I'm the manager that will use the software to lead their team. I'm the customer service rep that will teach the customer how to use a new program. I'm the user advocate that will always remember why I chose design: because helping people with the little things can make big difference.
